Father's Day

June 15, 2008

Gannon truly loves his Papa and Daddy, and wants to be just like them in every way. Take a look at the first photo below of Gannon in the tub pretending to "shave" his face - just like Papa does it.

In an effort to show Daddy and Papa just how special they are to Gannon (and me and my Mom), we showered them with gifts and love - and then took them to Old Sacramento to walk around the river and eat at Joe's Crab Shack. It was a beautiful and relaxing day. Our guys had a good time.

Happy Father's Day!

Kung Fu!!!

June 14, 2008
Today we helped a dear friend celebrate her wonderful retirement - congratulations Lynda! I'll really miss working with you.

After Lynda's party, we took Gannon to watch Kung Fu Panda...it was adorable - great story!!! I highly recommend it.

Hilarious Video

June 13, 2008

To all of my married friends - check out this video. Rich and I laughed so hard after watching it!!! The funniest part of this was that Rich made me lunch today and he put a note in my bag that read, "Tonight...it's business time". This totally cracked me up.

Enjoy...

Nut Tree Theme Park

June 8, 2008

On our way home from the Bay Area, we stopped in at the Nut Tree Theme Park. Gannon had a wonderful time. To him, nothing beats a day of fun and crazy rides. Thanks Jen for telling us about this place...it was a lot of fun!!!

Happy Birthday Cousin Betty!!!

June 7, 2008

Mom, Dad, Gannon, Rich and I spent the weekend in the Bay Area to celebrate my cousin Betty's 50th Birthday. My Aunt MaryAnn had a surprise party for her - and it was truly a surprise! It was wonderful to spend the weekend with my family.

Twinkle Toes Tutu's

June 6, 2008

My girlfriend Jessica just created a new and wonderful business called Twinkle Toes Tutus! She can create infant and toddler tutus...each tutu is a custom creation. She can create color combinations, varying fullness, sizes and embelishments.

If you have a little girl - this is a must buy! I agree with Jessica when she says, "Every little girl needs her first tutu!!!" Check out her website at http://twinkletoestutus.webs.com/index.htm

Pictured above is Jess's precious twin daughters in their own Twinkle Toes Tutus.

My Helper...

June 6, 2008

Today, Gannon didn't have school - so I took the day off to spend time with him and play. We had a great day. While Gannon was napping (or so I thought), I started doing some housework and after I completed cleaning the master bathroom, I walked into the hall and found Gannon helping Mommy. The floor was practically flooded, but he was so proud of himself for assisting me and acting as a "very big boy". I just love this little guy - he's the best helper (or worst?) that I could have ever hoped for!

WEC

June 1, 2008

Rich and I went to Arco Arena to attend the WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) event...and let me tell you, this event was crazy great!!! First and foremost, the main event of Faber and Pulver was spectacular. It was so fun and loud! Urijah (Faber) is from Sacramento and known as the "California Kid", so without a doubt the crowd was all about Urijah. Rich has worked-out at Urijah's gym a couple of times and likes this fighter a lot, but certainly respects Jens (Pulver) as well. In the end, after five 5-minutes rounds, the scorecard resulted in the obvious win for Urijah.

In addition to this main event, many other fights were fantastic. But the BEST part, for me, of the LIVE televised event was seeing my boyfriend - Tito Ortiz up close and personal. I just love him!!!! Many other UFC fighters were in attendance at this event...I have to admit that I was a bit star-stuck because I have grown to love all of these tough guys!!!

Gannon's First Smoker...

May 31, 2008

This evening, Gannon attended his first smoker. A smoker is basically an amateur cagefight. The smoker was held in Sacramento at the No Limits MMA gym (where Rich can be found most evenings training). Gannon had a great time. He was so into EVERY component of this event. We got to the gym early to help set-up and as you can see from the photos below - Gannon helped everywhere he could. Rich was helping to ice down the kegs - Gannon helped too.

And once the fights began, Gannon couldn't get enough. I think he is going to love this sport as much as his Daddy...Lord, help me!

The above photo is the entire wedding party and guests in Maui. We'll celebrate Dean and Becky's vows in a few more weeks when they hold their local reception - totally looking forward to that!

The next photo is a few of us at the rehearsal dinner luau. And the last two photos are my FAVORITE photos of Becky and Dean - the lovebirds! To see more of these beautiful photos - log onto http://www.aiharavisuals.com/ The photographer was amazing.
