Harvest Festival Fun

October 30, 2009

This evening we attended Nazarene's Harvest Festival. Gannon had a tremendous time, mainly because he saw so many friends. The evening's theme was "Disney" so we got out his costume from last year (Captain Hook) and dressed him up to the tee. Our favorite part of the night was spent playing games - it's good to see an event that is full of good old-fashioned fun!

Halloween Fun at NAPS

October 30, 2009

I can't hardly stand that this is Gannon's last pajama Halloween celebration at NAPS - next year kindergarten?!! We always look forward to this day. I purchase a pair of Halloween jammies just for this day months in advance. As I've said before, and I'll continue to say again and again...NAPS is the best in every way, shape and form!!! Gannon always comes home happy and full of knowledge - we adore NAPS!

Can you say Ninja?

October 29, 2009

That's right - our little Gannon is "officially" training to be a genuine Ninja. He is enjoying his time at Kang's Martial Arts so much. He has been waiting for the day he could do this - thank you Shaunee for all of the fun AND discipline!

Pink October Fashion Show

October 26, 2009

This is the 3rd year that I have had the pleasure of working with the models of the Pink October Fashion Show. I had so much fun getting to know these women and teaching them to dance. The women that you see in the photos above renew my spirit, my purpose, helps me to readjust my priorities, and prove to me that women are indeed strong, amazing and beautiful. Thank you 2009 Team!!! Baby, you’re a STAR!!!!!!

Hurry Back Grump

October 22, 2009

Thanks for the visit!

We love you and miss you already!!!

Gannon is in Heaven

October 18, 2009
Gannon is in Heaven. His Grump is here visiting, sleeping in his Spidey bed and entertaining him in every aspect possible. And today, Grump, Daddy and Papa are taking him fishing - he is literally walking on clouds. You can tell by his smile, right?! To top it off, he got to drive the boat (his favorite) and they brought home a fish.

Pumpkin Patch

October 3, 2009
After our walk this morning, we headed to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm. We adore this farm - although I have to sadly admit that it is barely the same as it was when we were kids. Over the past few years, it seems that everyone in Northern California have learned of our local gem as it has grown crowded and chaotic. Nevertheless, we always have a good time on the hay ride, picking pumpkins and sipping cider. We made the last moments of little Owen's 1st birthday - Happy Birthday Buddy! Thanks - we had a great time.

Race for Awareness 2009

October 3, 2009

What a fun and special event...Race for Awareness. We participate every year as members of Team Sutter - our employee wellness program. Not only do you feel good for helping to raise awareness and money for breast cancer and for getting a 5K in the day before 9AM, but this event is a true social event - I get to see so many friends that I haven't seen in such a long time.

Welcome Fall 2009

September 26, 2009

Every year around this time you will find the Blake family in Apple Hill - it is definitely a tradition. (Gannon calls it Apple Gardens for his own reasons.) We visit our favorite farms every year, eat our same favorite foods, and pick apples from the trees. There isn't a better way to wave good-bye to our wonderful summer and greet Fall with a big welcomed hug.

Our ray of sunshine...

September 20, 2009

At seven months old, Mila now…

Stands often while holding onto someone or something
Pulls herself up to a standing position from a seated one
Babbles a lot!
Plays peekaboo
Loves patty-cake

Also, a special Happy Birthday Grandma.

Grandparent's Day Celebration

September 11, 2009

NAPS had an early Grandparent's Day Celebration - an ice cream social. Gannon was so happy to have his Grandma and Papa and Great-Grandma there.

Happy Grandparent's Day!!!

Sitting Pretty...

September 11, 2009

Our beautiful little girl.

Working on those teeth...

September 6, 2009

As Mila continues to teethe, we have noticed that she makes some of the most peculiar, sweet and funny faces ever. We were able to capture a few of her personalities on the clip below…

Greens...

September 2, 2009

Today, Mila consumed her first taste of greens - green beans to be specific. Not a big fan. She was just getting used to her bowls of cereal, whether it was rice, oatmeal or barley. Now green beans - she definitely demonstrated some gag reflexives at times – poor little girl, but it must be done to get to the good, solid stuff.

Sitting Proud!

August 30, 2009

She's been working on it for weeks now - sitting tall!!!! She is so proud of herself, as are we. Check out the video below to see her sit and roll and sit and roll and end with a spit-up (sorry, but hard work has its consequences).
